Modern Barn Door

from $2,606.00

The Modern Barn Door plays with pattern and texture to create depth and hierarchy within the wood design. Each piece of wood is placed carefully to reveal different layers and wood grain throughout the face of the door.

Each Modern Barn Door comes together by laminating and sanding strips of wood that vary in size and wood species, ensuring a completely custom, one-of-a-kind sliding barn door for your home. Steel frame and steel sliding door track are included.

We must emphasize that the use of varying textures and pieces of wood ensures a completely custom and one-of-a-kind door that cannot be exactly replicated.

Handcrafted in Boulder, Colorado.

Customizable with different wood species at any dimension.

Featured in Oak and Walnut, 84” H x 36” W.

  • We provide two options regarding the finish of your wood products, Natural Oil and Matte Polyurethane. Both finishes will maintain the natural look and feel of your product, but support slightly different properties long term.

    Natural Oil

We use low VOC natural oil finishes. Applied in coats by hand, an oil finish works to fortify and seal off wood fibers, giving you a more traditional and natural look and feel. Natural oil gives you the ability to do light touch-ups and refinishing over time.

    Matte Polyurethane

We use formaldehyde free polyurethane finishes. The polyurethane is sprayed on in layers, intended to provide a stronger protection against scuffs and scratches over time. A polyurethane finish works as a solid barrier between you and the wood, best for high wear situations, families and individuals who need that extra level of protection.

  • Where do you source your wood?

We have a number of different suppliers for our materials. We strictly work with North American Hardwood, nearly 90% of our live-edge slabs are reclaimed or sustainably sourced within our community. We do not work with imported, tropical or endangered trees. We must emphasize that the use of live-edge wood ensures a completely custom product that cannot be exactly replicated. Each product is one of a kind.

    Who creates the designs?

Dancing Grains Woodworks came to life in 2008 with founder and owner Austin Aaron, channeling ideas and creative energy towards a larger vision of providing people with unique and timeless custom wood products, built with intention and care. Today, his dreams have been realized. We are a specialty woodworking company producing his original designs in furniture, cabinetry, doors, and other architectural and interior design elements.

    Who builds our products?

We have a number of local craftsmen working at our shop in Boulder, Colorado. We must emphasize that our products are carefully crafted by human beings rather than mass produced and manufactured by factory machines. You should expect handmade quality, craftsmanship and detailing.
